This Y Hen Darw  Paper Spoon #1 from Jennifer Collier has been handmade in her Staffordshire based studio. 

Handcrafted from old copies of the iconic Welsh children's book Y Hen Darw. Jennifer has cut and stitched the cover and pages from the book to create a charming decorative paper spoon. Jennifer incorporates the previous life of the book as a part of the design, with marks, creases and foxing all adding to the charm. 

Y Hen Darw was written by Mary Vaughan Jones and illustrated by Rowena Wyn Jones and first published in 1972. Part of a graded reading series by Cymdeithas Lyfrau Ceredigion it helped many children learn Welsh. 

All intellectual property rights in the Licensed IP remain the sole property of Atebol Cyf.
