Jacqueline de Jong stands as a pivotal figure in the post-war avant-garde art scene. Over a career that spans fifty years, de Jong has crafted a distinct painting style. Her works are known for their expressive quality, featuring bold eroticism, violence, and humour.
Alongside her painting, she served as the editor of The Situationist Times (1962-1967) and was an active member of the Situationist International during her early years in 1960s Paris.
Born in 1939 in Hengelo, The Netherlands, de Jong passed away in 2024.
