Care instructions  

With minimal care, Glover and Smith pewter items will maintain their shiny patina. Simply clean with warm soapy water, there is no need for abrasive cleaners or polishes. However, dishwasher cleaning is not recommended. 

Although lead-free pewter may oxidise over time, it’s easy to restore its shine. Washing with warm soapy water is often sufficient, but for a deeper clean, try this simple recipe:

Mix 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 cup of white vinegar, and 1/2 cup of flour to create a paste.

Apply the paste to the pewter and leave it for up to an hour.

Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
