This Large Hand Painted Yellow Daisy Wooden Welsh Love Spoon has been painted by Hayley Doroshenko in her North Wales based studio.

The traditional style love spoons shape has been laser cut from thin ply wood and features cut out heart details, and sourced from a Welsh company in Cwmbran. Inspired by her Ukrainian and Welsh heritage along her love of folk art Hayley paints each spoon with a unique floral pattern. 

Traditionally presented as a symbol of love and affection, a young man would meticulously carve a love spoon from wood for his suitor. This act of devotion demonstrated both his care and his skill as a craftsman, showcasing his ability to provide for a future family. Hayley has added a contemporary twist this traditional with her yellow daisy design, yet it still carries the same romantic sentiment.
