Marinella Senatore’s practice focuses on involvement of communities and the process of working together to shape, make and construct her artworks which encompass photography, drawing, audio, video and installation. A filmed opera, for example, involved working with 20,000 people from different countries and with diverse professions including dancers, carpenters and art students.

Her works here reference her ongoing project The School of Narrative Dance, which began in 2013. Exploring another way of storytelling through choreography, the work also examines an alternative system of education which encourages participants to share their skills and to achieve new ones.
