John Wiley & Sons, Inc., commonly known as Wiley is an American  publishing company which focuses on academic and instructional publishing.

Established in 1807 when a Manhattan print shop was opened by Charles Wiley. The firm took its current name in 1865 when Wiley shifted its focus to scientific, technical and engineering subjects.
