Louise Crookenden Johnson

Drawing inspiration from her creative family, vintage children’s books and nature. Each piece is made from earthenware clay which is bisque fired to leave a powdery surface.

The ceramic colours of the Majolica glaze are then hand-painted onto this surface providing vibrant, immediate colours that characterise Louise’s work and help shape the character of the design.

The piece is then fired for the final bright shiny glazed finish.
