Alice Acreman Silks
Born from the love of luxurious fabrics, illustration and the fascinating world, Alice Acreman began her beautiful textile brand- Alice Acreman Silks back in 2014.
While studying Fashion, experimenting with pattern cutting and methods of fabric embellishment at Arts University Bournemouth. Alice created a 12 piece womanswear collection digitally printed with her own artwork. The collection debuted at Graduate Fashion Week 2014 in London, where the bold orange silk turned heads as it floated along the catwalk. The popularity of her designs meant the pieces were in high demand and soon she began sourcing talented craftspeople to help her produce Silk scarves to satisfy the need.
Taking inspiration from traveling around the world, Alice has continued to develop her silk collections, initially focusing on Silk scarves but then adding her stunning Silk Kimono Jackets developed from her womanswear collection. Keen to focus on quality, not quantity, she works carefully, hand painting artwork and paying close attention to colour palettes. Often unusual, her striking motifs resemble the scientific illustrations from a time before photographic technology but combines with geometric and more digitally created elements.
